I'm unclear on this question right here. California and Maine use license plates as shown, with CA using a letter in the last place, while Maine uses a number. I figure you can find them in Alaska, but I also heard it in the movie "Fargo" which took place in the North Dakota/Minnesota area. How widespread is this accent? Really? How can accurately know without an actual exploration....wasn't oil just discovered in North Dakota in a pocket no one even knew about? I think its wise to keep these numbers conservatives so that expectations never exceed reality, but for people to quote that number as the gospel seems misguided,... read more
